DEFENSEWERX (legally the Doolittle Institute dba DEFENSEWERX) was established in 2012 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit headquartered in Niceville, FL. It builds and staffs innovation hubs under Partnership Intermediary Agreements with federal partners, connecting small businesses, academia, industry and government to facilitate technology transfer and transition. Its hubs include the Doolittle Institute and HSWERX in Niceville and SOFWERX and ICWERX in Tampa.
